Raiding Guide: How to Raid Effectively

Raiding in Rust is about efficiency — spending less sulfur than the loot you gain. Here's the raiding meta.

Raid Costs (Per Wall/Door)

StructureSatchel ChargesTimed Explosive (C4)RocketsSulfur Cost
Wood Wall11480-1,400
Stone Wall4241,920-5,600
Sheet Metal Door212960-2,800
Armored Door6362,880-8,400
Garage Door3231,440-4,200

Raid Strategy

  1. Scout first: Determine the base layout, door path, and online status before spending resources.
  2. Always go through doors: Most bases have weaker doors than walls. Garage doors are the most common raid entry point.
  3. Top-down raiding: Climb to the roof and blow down through floors. Tool cupboards are usually on the top floor or center.
  4. Counter-raiders are the real threat: For every 10 minutes of raiding, expect at least one counter group. Place external turrets if possible.
  5. Seal the breach: Once you're in, place your own door on the breach. You don't want to be the victim of your own raid.
